It’s fascinating to read about the genesis of Suite for Human Nature by Diane Charlotte Lampert and @eric_puybaret. The deeply contemplative original work came into being not as written fiction but as an orchestral composition with lyrics by Lampert and music by jazz legend Wynton Marsalis. Here, the story follows the form of a classical allegory, with personifications of Mother Nature and a brood of human vices playing their parts on an etiological stage. Puybaret’s ethereal illustrations, done in acrylic on linen, imbue each tableau with a sweeping, balletic grace. #ericpuybaret #dianecharlottelampert #suiteforhumannature #jazz #wyntonmarsalis #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
