There’s much to love about the anarchic ethos of Bedtime! by Beni Montresor. A young boy’s rebellion against his parents’ attempts to send him to bed spirals into a chase sequence through a Magic Castle filled with angels, devils, and unidentifiable creatures. Though Montresor unfolds the plot in short, straightforward sentences, he fills his illustrations with hallucinatory imagery in a blotchy miasma of psychedelic colors, suggesting an appropriately madcap visual dream logic from start to finish. #benimontresor #bedtime #timeforbed #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
