Did your parents ever tell you not to jump on the bed? Did they ever tell you why? I’ve you’ve ever imagined a particularly outlandish reason, I’ve got the just the book for you: Tedd Arnold’s No Jumping on the Bed! It is time for lights out. Despite his father’s stern warning about safety, Walter stays up and begins to jump on his bed. Unfortunately, his father was right: the bed crashes right through the floor and Walter falls with it. Down, down, down they go, collecting neighbors and their apparel in a cumulative sequence that leads all the way to the basement. Walter finally wakes up back in his bedroom and realizes that the whole affair was a dream. Or was it? Arnold’s clear storytelling and bright colors imbue the story with energetic humor. #no #jumping #bed #jump #fall #crash #floor #ceiling #apartment #neighbors #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
