If you’re in the mood for a strange and wonderful journey, check out Merlin’s Castle by László Gál. Raphaella (nicknamed Ralphy) and her brother Marco, along with Marco’s pet lizard Donatello, are transported inside a book designed by their father. There, the wizard Merlin guides them to a flying ship, which carries them through time. In the Middle Ages, Donatello grows to an enormous size and defeats an evil dragon. Finally, Merlin reappears and transports them home again. Gál accompanies his magical story with detailed, soft-colored illustrations. #merlin #castle #time #dragon #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
