The book of the day is Teresa Bateman and @omarrayyanart’s The Ring of Truth. Patrick O’Kelley, an inveterate liar, unwisely declares that he can spout better blarney then the king of the leprechauns. One night, he finds himself transported to a mystical kingdom under the mountains. The leprechaun king, affronted by the thoughtless boast, gifts him a ring that prevents him from ever speaking a single falsehood. This magical artifact proves inconvenient indeed, especially when Patrick finds himself whisked onstage in a blarney contest with a pot of gold at stake. However, in this case, the truth may be just turn out to be stranger than fiction. Bateman’s lively voice and Rayyan’s jewel-bright illustrations combine for an attractive and entertaining yarn. #ring #truth #lie #lies #king #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
