Have a look at Laura Amy Schlitz and Max Grafe’s The Bearskinner. A soldier makes a deal with the devil—in exchange for never-ending wealth, he may not wash and just always wrap himself in the hide of a bear. Schlitz’s engaging text and Grafe’s moody, sepia-toned illustrations imbue this Brothers Grimm adaptation with a strong sense of melancholy. #bear #skin #devil #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
